My Story

I Understand the Fitness Needs of Seniors

For more than 4 decades, I have been dedicated to fitness.  Whether teaching fitness in a group setting, or helping clients achieve their fitness goals through in-home personal training, I have helped many achieve their objectives. I have personally experienced the changing needs of our bodies as we age . . . and I know how to help you achieve great results consistent with your abilities.

I have remained current in my fitness education (it is a lifelong passion!).  I most recently completed certification in senior fitness.  


I've Designed This Program Specifically for People Over 50

My commitment to fitness started with my ownership of "The Studio" in East Cobb.  I sold The Studio over 30 years ago, and am honored to say that many former members continue to participate in my classes.  I have taught in corporations, public schools, health clubs, private studios, private homes and Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. I am nationally certified in Personal Training, Senior Fitness and Group Fitness and am current in Red Cross CPR training.  I bring all of this experience to you.
 

What You Can Expect From Working Together

You can expect a customized program specific to your needs.  For our age group, goals typically include a focus on improved muscular strength, balance, flexibility and mobility.  Other common goals include overcoming chronic pain, discomfort and promoting better circulation and a healthy heart.  


NO gym is needed.  Minimal other equipment is necessary.  Did you know you can achieve a complete, balanced fitness program from a chair!

No Contracts or Long Term Commitment

Unlike other programs, I do not require a long-term contract. I do not charge for our first session because it is important that we establish goals and see if there is a good match.  Personal training is just that . . . it's personal!  

From the Comfort of Your Own Home

Your time is important, and having an in-home fitness program will not only save time, but will improve the probability that you will stick with the program.  


No Intimidation and a Controlled Environment

Sometimes the environment of a gym can be overwhelming and intimidating for many of us.  And let's face it, sometime a gym isn't the healthiest environment. 

What We Need to Get Started

For our mutual benefit, I require a doctor's clearance.  Space and equipment needed are minimal:  a mat, space for 2 folding chairs and 2 sets of hand weights.  We won't measure or weigh you . . . there is no judgement or intimidation. The approach is a compassionate focus on improved health.

Pricing

The first session is complimentary. We need to make sure we are comfortable working together.  You may then take advantage of an introductory package of 3 one-hour sessions for $149.  At the conclusion of our 4 sessions, we will design your program.  You can expect to pay $70.00-$85.00 an hour (be sure to ask about a free session). 

Purchase 10 session minimum.  I accept major credit cards, cash or check.

We all know we should exercise on a regular basis.  Many times our doctors advise us to do so.  And we may be very willing, but just don't know where to start.  Let's work together to develop a complete, balanced program to help you reach your fitness goals.
